Über Claudia Gamon

Claudia Gamon ist Mitglied des Europäischen Parlaments in der Fraktion „Renew Europe“ und NEOS Europa-Sprecherin. Sie setzt sich für eine handlungsfähige Europäische Union ein, die in den Vereinigten Staaten von Europa münden soll. Die Kernthemen der 32-jährigen sind Digitalisierung, Energie, Forschung und Technologie.

Sie ist Mitglied im Industrieausschuss (ITRE) sowie stellvertretendes Mitglied im Umwelt- (ENVI). Außerdem ist die Vorarlbergerin stellvertretende Vorsitzende der Delegation für die Beziehungen zu den EEA/EFTA-Staaten (DEEA) und stellvertretendes Mitglied der Delegation Nordmazedonien (D-MK).

Claudia Gamon studierte Internationale Betriebswirtschaft und Internationales Management an der Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien und der Université catholique de Louvain. Erste politische Erfahrungen sammelte sie bereits 2011, als sie als Spitzenkandidatin die Jungen Liberalen in die Österreichische Hochschülerschaft führte. Ab 2015 vertrat Claudia Gamon NEOS als Abgeordnete zum Nationalrat im österreichischen Parlament, ehe sie 2019 ins EU-Parlament gewählt wurde.

Claudia Gamon is an Austrian Member of the European Parliament. She is the NEOS (The New Austria and Liberal Forum) spokesperson for all things European and sits with the Renew Europe group in the EP. The 32-year-old campaigns for a decisive European Union that should ultimately result in the United States of Europe. In her work, she focuses mainly on the topics digitalisation, energy, research and technological progress.

She is a member of the Industry Committee (ITRE) and a substitute member of the Environment Committee (ENVI). Claudia Gamon is also the Vice-Chair of the Delegation for relations with the EEA/EFTA-states (DEEA) and a substitute member of the North Macedonia Delegation (D-MK).

Claudia Gamon studied International Business Administration and International Management at the Vienna University of Economics and the Université catholique de Louvain. She gained her first political experience in 2011 as the leader of the Young Liberals in the Austrian Students’ Union. From 2015, she had represented NEOS as a Member of the Austrian Parliament before she was elected to the European Parliament in 2019.
